Have you ever considered joining the Laurens County Museum?

Working Together Works! Ten years ago a small group of Laurens County residents banded together to form the Laurens County Museum Association. Within two years their dream of a county- wide museum was  a reality. We now have the opportunity to take the museum even further with our larger new location on the historic Laurens County Courthouse Square. The Witherspoon Building will be a massive expansion to fully showcase new additions that will share even more of Laurens County’s rich heritage. From the thousands of years of Native American History to the dedication of Ann Pamela Cunningham to save George Washington’s Mount Vernon, from soulful blues of Pink Anderson to the Pulitzer Prize- winning words of Julia Peterkin, from South Carolina Governors to a President of the United States, Laurens County has a fascinating story to tell. But our captivating history can go unnoticed without your financial help. Thats why we have set the lofty goal of adding a thousand new supporters over the next eighteen months at an average donation level of fifty dollars each. Just as a group of dreamers laid the foundation of our museum ten years ago we are still asking you to become a part of a new dream team as we grow into a spacious new location. Thank you for your support!
